CTA’s Fifth Meeting of the Liaisons for Member Units Was Held in Hefei

On 10th April, 2014, the fifth meeting of the liaisons for member units was held in Hefei. The meeting was held by CTA and undertaken by Anhui Guoyuan Trust Co., Ltd. It mainly discussed three topics. The first one is to review CTA’s main achievements in 2013 and raise its working plan in 2014. The second one is to reward liaisons with outstanding performance. The third one is to hold a lecture with a subject relating to risk control for reputation and management of public voices, as well as propaganda and branch protection for trust companies. Mr. Li Dalin, Chief of Anhui Banking Regulatory Bureau, Mr. Zhang Yan, President of Anhui Guoyuan Trust Co., Ltd participated in and addressed the meeting. Mr. Ye Lingfeng, Deputy Director of CBRC and Ms. Wang Lijuan, Full-time Vice Chairman of CTA delivered speeches.

Mr. Ye reviewed good achievements trust sector had made in recent years, identified the undeniable role CTA had been playing during the course of trust sector’s development and emphasized such good performance of CTA was unable to be achieved without the endeavoring of those liaisons. He then briefed on challenges that may lay ahead on issues such as risk prevention, innovation and transformation as well as management of public voices for this sector and raised solving suggestions.

Ms. Wang introduced CTA’s main working achievements in 2013 and raised its working plan in 2014, delivered sincere appreciation to liaisons for their full cooperation, and introduced comprehensively several core working areas of member units and liaisons in 2014. Meanwhile, she pointed out that the workload involving liaisons would become increasingly heavy in the future amid the current development of trust sector and supervisory ideas raised this year, therefore, this area of work needed to be paid more attention by each company. It also required liaisons to fully fulfill their function to serve as bridges and bonds between CTA and companies with constant cultivation of a sense of responsibility and worked together with CTA to promote healthy and sustained development of trust sector. 

The meeting gave rewards to excellent liaisons in 2013, 31 liaisons from 31 trust companies were rewarded. One of them, Mr. Wang Yuguo from China Credit Trust Co., Ltd shared his experiences to be a good liaison, emphasizing the important role that the sense of responsibility, transpositional consideration and overview played in doing this work. Representatives also discussed the draft of Liaisons Rules and raised several constructive points on the improvement of liaison working mechanism, management of public sentiments and enhancement of training and research work for trust sector.

Mr. Fu Weiyi, the Director of the Network Opinion Management Section of CBRC General Office delivered subject speech on Management of Reputation Risk and Reply to Public Opinion. He raised some cases how national agents and enterprises cope with crises involving public opinions to better illustrate the skills and focus to do this work. Mr. Wang Gong, senior researcher of new media from Zentrust Asset Management Research Institute delivered subject speech on how to utilize Wechat to promote publications and protect brand cultures, with the view to provide new ideas for sector’s propaganda.

The meeting attached importance to liaisons’ work, not only reviewing the past, but also looking into the future. In 2014, CTA will actively promote our main tasks under the guidance from CBRC and supports from our member units as usual.
