CTA Held a Seminar on the Management of Risks in Reputation for Trust Industry

To further heighten the ability for trust companies to manage their reputational risks and actively prevent and resolve risks generated from negative public opinions, CTA held a seminar on the management of risks in reputation on July 7 in Beijing. More than 70 people, including staffs taking the position of media public relations and some business backbones from trust companies participated.

Mr. Qi Jianming, Deputy Vice Chairman of CTA stressed in his speech that the management of reputational risks was not only critical to the healthy development of trust industry, but also profoundly impactive to the transition and upgrading for the industry. He said that the key to promote the development of trust industry is to accumulate faith from the market and trustors, so it is important to maintain good reputation in order to create an image worthy of public trust and achieve sustainable development of trust industry eventually. CTA will take steps in self-discipline, rights protection, coordination and publicity to protect trust industry’s good reputation and instruct trust companies to manage their reputational risks.

The seminar included three parts which were lectures, simulation exercises and experience exchanges. Lectures focused on “How to strengthen the ability to guide public opinions against new media environment” and “Monitoring the public opinions on the Internet and dealing with crises and emergencies generated by public opinions”. Ms. Chen Feng, Director of Public Opinions Management Ministry, Publicity Department, CBRC, gave a lecture on the procedures and skills of public opinions’ management.
